Cathay Pacific has a major order from Airbus and will purchase at least 30 Airbus A330-900s, to be delivered by the end of 2031. These new aircraft will replace older A330-300 models in the fleet while supporting the airline’s growth. Through agreed purchase rights, Cathay Pacific has the option to double the order to up to 60 aircraft.
The decision to invest in the A330-900 is part of the airline’s strategy to modernize its fleet and increase efficiency. The A330-900 offers improved fuel efficiency and range compared to its predecessor models. Cathay Pacific uses modern technology to ensure safe use and uses the correct operating instructions to reduce it.
