As early as October 2022, the Mexican low-cost airline Volaris ordered 25 A321neos from the European aircraft manufacturer Airbus. For strategic reasons, the increase in the total order of 143 machines from the A320neo series was only announced at the Paris Air Show.

“These A321neo aircraft will support our long-term profitability and sustainability strategy and bring us closer to our goal of operating an all-NEO fleet by 2028.” “Our backlog of 143 aircraft demonstrates Volaris’ financial strength and will support our growth in the Mexican market as well as on routes in the United States and Central America,” says Enrique Beltranena, President and Chief Executive Officer of Volaris.
