Wizz Air Group will deliver in September 2023 with 5,538,773 passengers on board the Airbus fleet. Compared to the same month last year, there was an increase of 21 percent, even though some routes had to be thinned out due to problems with Pratt & Whitney engines.
The pink low-coster must have heard about the high occupancy rate, as it was able to increase to 92.4 percent. In the previous year this was 87 percent and in the year to date it has been an average of 84.6 percent. The significant improvement is not only due to the continued high demand, but also to the fact that fewer options are available on some routes, meaning that existing connections are better utilized.
Wizz Air will also have this in September 2023 in the new experimentation and letting. At some airports, videos are played on airport screens before boarding, giving passengers behavioral recommendations for boarding, the flight and disembarking. According to its own information, the low-cost airline will achieve this by speeding up boarding and de-boarding and also further minimizing downtime on the ground.
It remains to be seen whether the videos will have the desired success, as experience has shown that advertising videos on airport screens are often hardly noticed. Airlines are constantly making attempts to speed up boarding. Some carriers have come up with so-called group boarding. Ultimately, implementation depends on the ground staff and does not always adhere to the airline’s specifications. During bus boarding, “boarding” in groups can be reduced to absurdity, because in many cases the travelers are then mixed up in the vehicle.
